All Branches of the King Township Public Library will be closed this Monday (July 2) for Canada Day.

Schomberg Library will be hosting summer movies Friday afternoons at 2:30 p.m. Once the movie titles are determined, they will be posted on the Library's Web site. All Ages welcome to this free program.

Summer Reading Club

Lost World Club Meetings Thursdays at the Library. Pre-register for this free programs for kids aged six and up.

Ahoy Ye Matey! Have you got your sea legs? Come join us for a swashbuckling Pirate adventure - July 5 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Medieval Mayhem! Attention all Lords and Ladies! Enter a world of castles, knights and dragons. The library will have them all July 12 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Dino Safari! Come on a dinosaur adventure trek! Watch out for the T-Rex! - July 19 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Walk Like An Egyptian! Mummies tombs, the sphinx, ancient pyramids! Come help us unlock some ancient secrets - July 26 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Come Under the Sea! Dive into another world under the sea! Join us for an hour of fun and activities - Aug. 2 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Aztec Adventure! Aztec gold, fun and adventure! Come be an Aztec for an hour at the library - Aug. 9 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Viking Voyage! Journey across the sea and to lands far away! Come to the library and be ready to explore - Aug. 16 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Mount Olympus Mania! Come discover the ancient world of Greece and Rome! Gods and goddesses welcome - Aug. 23 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Red Cross Babysitting

Course

Let the Canadian Red Cross prepare you for your first babysitting job. Learn important child-care skills and what to do in case of an emergency. For youngsters aged 11 to 16. The cost is $50, and you are asked to pre-register. The program will be at the library Aug. 11, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Parachute club

Sign up for King Township Public Library's newest preschool program. Come join us for a half hour of parachute fun and activities. Enjoy the sun and being outside in the summer! Pre-register the youngsters between the ages of one and five. the program is free. It will be Wednesdays, from July 4 until Aug. 22, from 11 until 11:30 a.m.

Summer Pre-School Story

Hour

An hour of fun for three to five year olds with stories, songs, crafts, a film, and lots of fun. The cost is $25. It will be held Wednesdays from July 4 to July 25 from 1 to 2 p.m.

Born to Read

A half-hour of stories, finger plays, and songs for you and your infant up to two years old. This program is free, however, the library is asking for a small donation to offset the costs. It takes place Wednesdays between July 4 and July 25 from 10:30 until 11 a.m.

Harry Potter

Party

Celebrate the new release of Deathly Hallows! July 28 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. There will be an hour of magical fun and activities. Come in your Harry Potter costumes and don't forget your wand.

This program is for youngsters aged five and older.

Garden tour

The Schomberg Horticultural Society is holding its annual Garden Tour July 8 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets will be available the day of the tour at the Schomberg Community Hall on Main Street. the cost is $6.
