150th anniversary coming at Weston Collegiate In 1857, the Weston Grammar School was created. Through time the name was changed to Weston Grammar and High School, then Weston High and Vocational School, Weston Collegiate and Vocational School and is now know as Weston Collegiate Institute. Since 1857 attendance has grown from 20 students to more than 1,400 today. All former students, staff and their guests are invited to celebrate the 150th anniversary over three days from Oct. 26 to Oct. 28 at the school on William Street in Weston. There will be many events, including a football fame, pub room, hockey games and most importantly a "meet and greet" in the Decade Rooms. There will also be a dinner-dance the Saturday night at The Old Mill in Etobicoke. Tickets to the dinner-dance are limited.
