Summer Solstice marked by Lloydtown Rebellion Association

The Summer Solstice is when the sun tells us summer has begun. The Lloydtown Rebellion Association got a bit of a jump on things Saturday and they hosted a Summer Solstice Festival at Christ Church in Kettleby. Former Association president Brian Beatty delivered a talk about drinking in the 19th century while current president Kathleen Adamson looked on.
Music was provided by Traditions from Rosemont, featuring Brian Fraser, David Aspenlieder and Ed Elliotson.
There was some role-playing at the festival, including some people who had to do time in the stocks. Tim Adamson was portraying a dishonest merchant, and learned they were dealt with pretty harshly in the past.
