Yellow Brick House getting community recognition award

Yellow Brick House, a non-profit organization that provides emergency shelter and services to abused women and children in York Region, will be receiving the Community Recognition Award - Quarter Century Organization from the Town of Aurora.

This award is to recognize the contributions made by Yellow Brick House to the Aurora community.

Domestic violence is a serious issue in the community and country.

Yellow Brick house is in its 29th year of operation. In addition to its intervention services, it also provides public education programs to York Region schools to prevent further abuse.
