Green Party leader will be in York Tuesday Everyone is invited to meet Elizabeth May, leader of the Green Party of Canada, when she visits York - Simcoe this coming Tuesday (May 8) for an evening of discussion. It is billed as a meet and greet fund-raiser, but May will be addressing local environmental concerns, such as the continuing degradation of Lake Simcoe and the recently announced plans to locate a garbage incinerator in East Gwillimbury. May will be joined by Jim Harris, former leader of the party and local Green candidates from around York and Simcoe County.
