Region releases 2007 YorkLink York Region has released the 2007 edition of its community services directory. YorkLink: A Community Services Directory provides comprehensive information on over 700 community service providers and related government agencies in York Region. "YorkLink is used by libraries, child care providers, teachers, community agencies and many others to help residents across York Region find a wide range of important community supports," said Regional Chair Bill Fisch. "Now in its eighth year, YorkLink will continue to successfully provide easily accessible information to people across the Region." The 2007 edition of YorkLink contains the same detailed index that was introduced in the 2006 edition, and also features the return of the service category listing. "We will make YorkLink as widely available as possible across the Region." Translation services are available to meet the needs of York's culturally diverse population. To help people who do not read English find what they are looking for, YorkLink includes translation assistance in many languages spoken in the region. Translation assistance is provided in A r a b i c , Cantonese/Mandarin, Farsi, French, Hindi, Italian, Korean, Russian, Spanish, Tamil, Urdu and Vietnamese.
