Celebrate 60 Years

The Schomberg Lions are inviting people to join them for their Charter Night Dinner and Dance April 14 at Schomberg Arena.

Tickets are $25 each.

Pop-Can

Crush-athon

Come and have fun with the Schomberg Lions June 9 at the arena parking lot. Bring your pop cans between 8 a.m. 1 p.m. and help crush them so that they can sell the scrap metal for cash which goes to fund all community projects.

In addition you can participate in the Garage Sale $15 per table.

Stonehouse

The top player among the ladies in March 7 euchre play was Greta Graham, followed by Irene Palmer, Shirley Stonehouse and Sonya Meyer. The lucky draw for the ladies was Helen Groombridge. Tops at the men's tables was Trevor Graham, followed by Murray Edwards, Annie Hill and Al Jackson. Albert Drury won the lucky draw.

The 50/50 draw winners were Betty Ann Wilson and Al Jackson.

The March 14 winners for the ladies was Peggy Johnston, followed by Ethel Wilson, Dorothy Rodgers and Greta Graham, with Irene Palmer winning the lucky draw. The men's tables were led by Len Cairns, followed by Dan Gould, Arnold Rodgers and Francis McCabe. Annie Hill was the the lucky draw winner.

The 50/50 draw winners for the day were Len Cairns and Mary Duggan.

Horticulture

The Schomberg Horticultural Society will be having its first meeting of 2007 this coming Tuesday (March 27) at 8 p.m. at Schomberg Community Hall on Main Street.

The speaker will be Koidu Sulev of Richters Herbs and the topic will be Wildflowers and Herbs to Enhance Your Garden.
