Plans under way to celebrate Victoria Day in Nobleton

A 41-year tradition is slated to continue May 21, in the form of the annual Victoria Day celebrations in Nobleton.

Patty Fleetwood reports a dedicated group of volunteers, including representation from the local Lions and Firefighters, along with the Nobleton Schomberg District Chamber of Commerce, have been working on the celebrations, which will include a parade, an afternoon of entertainment and socializing and fireworks in the evening.

Featured entertainment this year is slated to include a bluegrass band, as well as a final elimination round for eight Schomberg Idol contestants. As well, there will be inflatable bounce games and pony rides, while crafters, local merchants and community groups will be on hand with information.
