King's Corners Church Submitted by Claire Alexander Share in St. Patrick's own Irish stew at our neighbouring King City United Church at 6 p.m. Friday, and get ready for a refreshing March Break! March 16 and 17 overnight, or just all day Saturday, join some of us for a retreat to discover Celtic spirituality and "The Holiness of the Ordinary." The event takes place at the new retreat house next door to St. John's Rehab Hospital on Cummer Avenue. Phone the church for details. Bring back nostalgic memories of childhood at the Lenten Choral Evensong this Sunday (March 18) at 7:30 p.m., under Director of Music Michael Leach. Maybe you'd like to join our excellent choir, which meets Thursday nights from September to June? Do you sing bass? Michael would love to see you. The regular Lenten Wednesday evening sessions meet in the choir loft at 7:30 p.m. We welcome visitors to our reflective candlelit meditation, singing chants from the Taizé community in France, and with thoughts from Rev. Nicola Skinner. Sundays, we meet in the chapel at 8 a.m., or at the full Sunday Eucharist at 10:30 a.m., which offers a children's chat, nursery care, and Sunday school, followed by refreshments. March 25, we welcome Trinity Unplugged from Aurora to lead our 10:30 a.m. worship, with their unique acoustic sounds and joyful songs of praise. Come and join us. The Youth Group will meet that evening from 6 to 8 p.m. for an Easter art extravaganza. Continue to drop off your treasures for the famous Rummage Sale April 21, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Phone to book a drop-off time. All Saints' is at 12935 Keele St. in King City, a few doors south of King Road. Call the church office, or the Rev. Skinner, if you hear of a special community need, at (905) 833-5432, or e-mail to allsaints@eol.ca King City United Church Submitted by Dave Jeanneret King City United Church is a vibrant, caring community, and warmly invites one and all to our worship service led by the Pastor Bob Biggar each Sunday at 10 a.m., and to our Sunday school, followed by fellowship and refreshments.
