York Regional Police Appreciation Night

Once again this year, the York Region Police Services Board will be a proud corporate sponsor of the 15th annual York Regional Police Appreciation Night, to take place in Thornhill April 26.

Fifteen years ago, five local businessmen proposed an annual fund-raising event that would also showcase York Regional Police. More than $1.9 million has been raised and the funds have supported such police programs and equipment as the Community Safety Village, Special Olympics, community outreach, Victims Services, York Care Bears, Bicycle Patrol and the Police Helicopter.

This year's event will celebrate 36 years of policing excellence and proud service to the communities of York Region.
