Friday was the annual World day of Prayer, celebrated in services held throughout more than 170 countries. This year's service was composed by women in Paraguay, with the theme United under God's tent. Services were held in King Township too. Several people were taking part with readings at the service held at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church in Nobleton.
Deacon Stephen Grant was the speaker at Friday night's service at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Schomberg.
People at the Sacred Heart service had scarves to remind them of the theme of United under God's tent.
