Final baseball registration next Saturday
Submitted by Lee-Ann Brinovec

With March's arrival just days away, we can't help but think of spring and then, dare we say it, summer!

Summer brings thoughts of warmth, sunshine and the sounds of hundreds of children playing baseball on our local diamonds. If you do not want your aspiring baseball player to be disappointed, please be sure to mark next Saturday (March 10) on your calendar. This is the final registration date for the King Township Baseball Association.

Registration will be held in both the arenas in King City and Schomberg from 10 a.m. until noon. There will be members of KTBA at both of these locations to answer any questions you may have.

If you are a new player, please remember to bring a copy of your birth certificate and health card.

You may also download a registration form from the web site, www.kingtownshipbaseball. ca and either mail it to the post office box noted on the form or bring it to us in person at the arena. In addition there are registration forms available at your local libraries.

Initial registration is looking positive, with a considerable number of new ball players joining the ranks. With the increase in registration numbers, there is a possibility of fielding select teams to compliment the junior bantam rep team that has already been rostered for the coming season.

Baseball is growing in King Township, and although every effort will be made to find each and every ballplayer a team when the season gets under way, team numbers are capped to make it a more successful season for all those involved. Don't be disappointed; register early.

If you require more information, please contact the registrar, Michelle Perone, at (905) 939-7788.
