World Day of Prayer services Friday

It is women of Paraguay who have prepared the service for this year's World Day of Prayer, which will be observed this Friday (March 2).

There will be three services held locally.

Nobleton's service will be at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, starting at 1:30 p.m.

At the same time, a service will be commencing at Sacred Heart Church on Jane Street at the 16th Sideroad

In the evening, there will be a service at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Schomberg, starting at 8 p.m.

These observances are an ecumenical celebration along the theme of "United under God's tent."

The services will also offer information about Paraguay, and the culture and heritage of that South American country.

People from 170 lands, and in some 2,000 communities across Canada will be taking part in these services Friday.
