Art on display at Township offices

The newly renovated King Township municipal offices in King City are looking somewhat more attractive these days, thanks to displays of the creations of numerous local artists. Many of them were out last Monday for a reception, hosted by Art Society King (ASK) and the Township's parks, recreation and culture department. Works by Andrea Loeppky, Nancy Jones, Ken MacFarlane, Diane Styrmo, Evangeline Munns, Marianne Broome, Garry Conway and Joan Owen can currently be seen in the lobby, and opportunities will be provided to other artists, on a rotating basis, to exhibit their work in this space. The art may be purchased by contacting the artists directly. Garry Conway spliced together three separate photographs to assemble this scene taken from the 15th Sideroad, looking north to the seneca college property.
King City artist Nancy Jones is showing some of her acrylic creations.
These two pictures are the work of Kettleby area resident Andrea Loeppky. One is an acrylic collage entitled Abstract in Blue and Teal, and the other is an acrylic on canvas, called Black Barns.
