Minor peewee Knights fall to Aurora
Submitted by NobleKing Minor Hockey Association

The NobleKing minor peewee rep Knights were unable to win more than one game in their opening OMHA playoffs series.

The Knights were only able to score once in the fourth game against Aurora, losing the match 4-1. They now move on to the roundrobin series that starts the York Simcoe championships.

This team of 11-year olds will now play Richmond Hill and East Gwillimbury before the regional playoffs get underway. It will take four consecutive series victories under head coach Jim Younker, to capture the regional crown.

This year, in all 12 team divisions, every team gets a shot at winning the region crown except the eventual zone winner of the OMHA round, which moves on to play outside York Region. This means that the other 11 teams will all join in the playoffs for the region championship as these playoffs advance - depending upon when a team gets knocked out of the OMHA round.

Eight of nine NobleKing Knights teams were knocked out in the first OMHA playoff round, so we are all cheering for solid success at the region level as the season continues.
