Skating on the marsh

The Dufferin Marsh Committee is holding its annual ice-skating event in the marsh this Saturday (Feb. 10)from 3 to 6 p.m.

The marsh is off Dr. Kay Drive.

Come out and bring your skates. Enjoy a fun family time with hotdogs, marshmallows and hot chocolate, and it's all free.

The top player among the ladies in the Jan. 24 session was Jean Wilson, followed by Elaine Ruddy, Marjorie Williamson and Irene Palmer. The lucky draw was won by Mary Duggan. Among the men, the top player was Nick Witteman, followed by Arnold Rodgers, Al Jackson and Bob Bishop. Murray Kaake won the lucky draw.

The 50/50 draw winners were Jake Steenhoek and Bill Groombridge.

In Jan. 31 play, Helen Groombridge led the ladies, followed by Marjorie Williamson, Doreen Matson and Gloria Clarkson. Bill Groombridge was tops at the men's tables, followed by Murray Edwards, Dan Gould and Walter Hill. The lucky draw was won by Murray Kaake.

The 50/50 draw winners were Mary Hammett and Bill Groombridge.
