Last Sunday (Jan. 14), All Saints' Anglican Church warmly welcomed Rt. Rev. George Elliott, now Bishop of York Simcoe, back into his former parish. Members and guests shared his joy as he confirmed eight young people: Ashley and Vanessa Abraham; Salome, Kirisa, and Brooks Alexander; Katie Bondrager; Emma Smith; and Jessie Wootton. The celebration included special music, a benediction sung by the Bishop, group photographs, and abundant refreshments.

Join us this Sunday, as Rev. Nicola Skinner radiates encouragement that is contagious. The full Sunday Eucharist at 10:30 a.m. also provides a nursery and Sunday school. Refreshments follow, allowing time to ask questions and to make new friends. The Alexander musicians lead a 10:30 a.m. service of contemporary music on the last Sunday monthly.

A BCP Eucharist takes place in the chapel Sundays at 8 a.m. The book club follows at 9:15 a.m., led by Patrick Gossage and Pearl Suite, to discuss Desmond Tutu's book, God Has a Dream.

Tickets are available for a scrumptious Pancake Supper Feb. 20 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Save the date!

Caribbean Party Time is back again to shake off the winter blues! Tickets at $40, with family and student rates available, and the festivities will include a live music, a steel band, limbo dancing, fire-eating and Caribbean food. Wear your loudest shirt, and join us Feb. 16.

The CBC Christmas Carol night with Judy Maddren, with its sell-out crowd, brought in nearly $5,000, shared between the King Township Food Bank and Hospice King-Aurora. Across Canada, the welldone CBC "Scrooge" event raised more than $200,000 for charities.
