Council to start discussing Township budget

King councillors have scheduled a series of meetings to discuss the Township's budget for 2007.

Acommittee of the whole workshop session on the operatibng budget is planned for this coming Monday, starting at 1:30 p.m., and another workshop for the capital budget is set for Feb. 5, again at 1:30 p.m.

A special committee of the whole meeting has been planned for Feb. 19 at 6 p.m., at which time members of the public and interest groups will be able to make deputations and comments. That session had originally been planned for the afternoon, but council accepted a staff recommendation to change it to the evening to provide greater opportunity for the public to attend.

Council approved the schedule Monday night without comment.
