PICTURE CONTEST WINNERS NAMED
The King Township Parks, Recreation and Culture department and Arts Society King ran a recent photography contest, and the winning entries were unveiled at the King Township Museum Thursday night. The entries were judged by local nature photographer Garry Conway, museum curator Kathleen Fry and Laura Campbell of the parks, recreation and culture department, who is seen here holding the entry of Alison Cheeseman of King City, who received honourable mention in the youth category. She is with Alex Dewdney, who won in the youth category; Robert Brown of King City, winner in the nature category; Rosalind Elson of King City, owner of the fawn that was the subject of the picture taken by Arlene Heaps, which received honourable mention; and Katie Cooke, 5, of Schomberg, who's mother Michelle was the winner in the people category with the picture of Katie heading off for her first day of kindergarten.
