Dr. Helena Jaczek was recently acclaimed as the Liberal candidate in Oak Ridges - Markham for the up-coming provincial election. York Regional council recently remembered Robert Johnston, a former member of council and mayor of Georgina, who died April 6. Mr. Johnston sat on Regional council for two terms, from 1988 to 1994. He was very active during his terms, sitting on numerous committees, including community services, health and the York County Hospital Board. More ... John Gilbank has been taking a sabbatical from his business career, but he's ready to get busy again. And the job he's seeking is York - Simcoe MPP.
