Biking to raise money for cancer

The first ever Bikers Ending All Types (BEAT) of cancer ride for the Holland River United of the Canadian Cancer Society is planned for July 8.

These Drorado swimmers made a big splash at the recent Division II Team Championships These Drorado swimmers made a big splash at the recent Division II Team Championships Organizers are hoping to attract at least 100 bikers from the York Region area to this event, which will be a two-hour non-competitive, pledge-based, fund-raising motorcycle ride in the community. The ride will begin at the Aurora Recreation Complex (at Leslie and Wellington Streets in Aurora) and finish at Boston Pizza in Newmarket.

Registration and vendor display will begin at 9 a.m. There is a registration fee of $25 per rider and $10 per passenger.
