More than 20 volunteers were hard at work recently at King City United Church, assembling some 150 apple pies from scratch in the eighth annual event. Mary Barker was cutting up apples after her husband Don had finished peeling them.
Christina Terenyi and Ellen Hoffmann had plenty of apples to carve up.
Joyce Glass and Mary O’Brien were among those responsible for actually putting the apples into the pies.
