Black and Pabst criticized

Regarding the article “Councillors get ready to get down to work,” (Sentinel, Nov. 22):

Obviously Mayor Margaret Black doesn’t understand what the voters of King were saying. She thinks that “they were happy with their mayor, Margaret Black.” (her opinion)

She also said the public can divide a community. Well, in my opinion, it is she who has divided the community.

Again, she stated, “Obviously they (the taxpayers) were not upset with the government,” including herself. The truth is if there were not so many people upset with her and her cronies on council, there would not have been such a high turnout to vote. She just doesn’t get it.

Councillor Linda Pabst should be ashamed of herself for the advertisement she put in the paper shortly before the election defending Black. What is she? Her keeper? In my opinion, it makes it quite obvious who she is representing, and it is not the taxpayers in Ward 5.

Congratulations to Jane Underhill, Jeff Laidlaw, Cleve Mortelliti and Bill Cober.

Vera Howlett,

Schomberg
