Schomberg library

The Schomberg library will be offering a Red Cross Babysitting course Jan. 3 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Learn important childcare skills and what to do in case of an emergency. The cost of this program is $50. Preregister at the library as spaces are limited.

Registration for Born to Read at Schomberg library is now being accepted for the new year. Sign-up for a half hour of stories, finger plays, and songs for you and your infant up to two years old. This program is free; however, the library is asking for a small donation to offset programming costs. The winter session runs Wednesdays from Jan. 10 until March 14, from at 10:30 to 11 a.m.

Registration for preschool story hour at the library is also now being accepted for the new year. Sign-up for an hour of fun

for three to five year olds with stories, songs, crafts, film and lots of fun. The cost is $25. The winter session runs Wednesdays from Jan. 10 until March 14 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

Skating is on the Lions

The Schomberg Lions Club is once again sponsoring free family skating at the Schomberg Arena this Sunday (Dec. 17) from 2 until 3:30 p.m.

Kids will get a free hotdog and drink.
