Party Outlet opens in Schomberg

Mayor Margaret Black was flanked by owners Susie and Ajmer Singh, along with Judy Craig, president of the Nobleton Schomberg District Chamber of Commerce Friday for the grand opening of Party Outlet in Schomberg.

Ajmer Singh and his wife Susie have seen a need for a store in Schomberg that caters to people planning parties or celebrations.

So they have opened one themselves, calling it Party Outlet.

The store was officially opened Friday by Mayor Margaret Black and representatives of the Nobleton Schomberg District Chamber of Commerce.

The party supplies available there include gift ideas (some in keeping with the season), as well as a 36- foot long rack of greeting cards. They also plan to carry arts and crafts supplies.

Singh said they have lived in Nobleton about two and a half years, owning the Dollar Outlet there, and he added some of the customers come from Schomberg, as well as elsewhere.

"I figured there is a need for a party store in Schomberg," he stated. "I'm here to serve the community. I'm getting a lot of support from the community."

"The people here are great," his wife added. "Very nice people."
