Full house for A Christmas Carol

Count on Charles Dickens to pack a house, and that includes All Saints' Anglican Church in King City. The house was filled Friday night for the dramatic reading of the classic A Christmas Carol. The story was interspersed with music from the church's choir and The Marion Singers. CBC Radio host of World Report Judy Maddren was guest host of Friday's dramatic reading. She is the wife of Canon Tim Elliott, former incumbent at All Saints'.
The York Region Food Network was one of the beneficiaries of Friday's dramatic reading. Rev. Barry Van Dusen, of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church in Nobleton, outlined some of the work involving the network before taking his part as one of the readers.
Ken Lloyd read Stave 1 of the Dickens classic.
