Oshawa's best was not good enough Nov. 11, as the NobleKing midget Knights defeated them 3-2 to win the Millbrook Midget Tournament.

Earlier in the day, the Knights defeated Nepean and Norwood to get into the championship game.

The day saw a small, but extremely focused and determined group of players play three excellent games with precision passing, tremendous puck support and hard two-way skating. Outstanding goal tending by Jodi Bellaera, strong defensive work by Josh Defibo, Jason Hill, Mark Mcgown and Michael Griffith, and gutsy playmaking by Matthew Bolton, Ryan Wardle, Ryan Degenova, Mark Tompson, Michael Bennett and Kyle Goggins all added up to a very enjoyable day of hockey for the fans and players.

"This is a new team and these guys have not played together as a team before, so its great to see them come together so quickly," Coach Michael Bennett observed. "We also have the best fans around," added Coach Tim Wardle.

Absent that day were players Michael Focaccia, Ben McLean, Mathew MacIver, Daniel Ostrowski and Anthony Maida and Coaches Frank Maccarone and Andy Ostrowski.

The team continues their regular season play and looks forward to their next tournament in London later this month.
