Wear red to support troops

There's a movement under way to encourage Canadian to wear red Fridays as a show of support for the peacekeeping troops currently serving in Afghanistan.

Schomberg resident and veteran Norm Green mentioned the effort briefly Friday when he addressed students at the Remembrance Day Assembly at King City Secondary School.

In addition to suggesting the students wear something red, he urged them to challenge students at other schools to do the same.

"It shows their support for troops in Afghanistan," he remarked.
