Chamber honours milestones being marked by several local businesses this year

Nobleton Farm Service proprietor Karl Davis had the honour of cutting the ceremonial cake, which was created by Josie Dorio of Kettleby Italian Bakery.
This is a special year for a number of local businesses, and the Nobleton Schomberg Chamber of Commerce took time out last Wednesday to recognize them.

Nobleton Farm Service is marking its 50th anniversary this year, and their King Road outlet was the location of the celebration, at which 10 other firms were recognized.

They included the CIBC branch in Schomberg, which is also marking 50 years, B.C. Instruments - 35 years, Brooks IGA in Schomberg - 30 years, J.S. Autobody - 20 years, Still Gorgeous - 20 years, Crupi's Interiors - 20 years, Foley Restoration - 15 years, Patty's Country Flowers - 10 years, Ballare Performing Art Centre - 10 years and California Vanishing Screens - five
Mayor Margaret Black offered a toast to the businesses celebrating milestones this year.
It was a big celebration last Wednesday, hosted by the Nobleton Schomberg District Chamber of Commerce to mark the milestone anniversaries of several businesses in the community. Many of the proprietors were on hand for the celebration, held at Nobleton Farm Service.
