King's Corners
Country bake and craft sale coming to St. Andrew's next Saturday

King City

Senior's Centre. Submitted by Hans Nielsen

The King Township Recreation department recently held a well attended information session regarding new activities the seniors may want to participate in. Many ideas were floated and they will now be digested by the Department for future use.

The next pot-luck and movie afternoon is planed for this Friday (Nov. 17) at noon. Make your favorite dish and come out and have fun. It will be the last potluck of the year at the centre.

The 39ers

The next meeting of the 39ers is planned for this Monday (Nov. 20), starting at 1:30 p.m. The guest speaker is to be Constable Carol Hamilton of York Regional Police. She is a senior support liaison officer in the department's community services section, and is to speak about legal matters pertaining to seniors. She was very popular at her last visit and the 39ers have asked her to come back for another session.

Refreshments will be served and all are welcome. For more information, please contact Shirley Scott at (905) 833-3724.
