Remembrance Day at All Saints' Sunday

Remembrance Day will be observed at the 10:30 a.m. service this Sunday (Nov. 12). Wear your poppy!

All Saints' craft sale with bake table and luncheon will take place Nov. 18 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Open table rentals are $35; tables with a wall backing are $40. Draw tickets are $2.50 or three for $6 for a Queen-sized Mennonite Quilt.

A dramatic reading of "A Christmas Carol" will take place at the church Dec. 1at 7:30 p.m. Tickets $15 with proceeds going to York Region Food Network and Hospice King-Aurora.

Access to the church is available from Doctor's Lane parking near the Post Office and King City Arena.

All Saints' Church is located at 12935 Keele St., King City, just south of King Road. Sunday Eucharist is at 8 and 10:30 a.m.

King City United Church

King City United Church, a vibrant, caring, Christian church, invites all to the Sunday morning worship service at 10 a.m., led by the Rev. Robert (Bob) Biggar, and Sunday school followed by fellowship and refreshments.

King City United Church is located one block south of King Road and one block east of Keele Street, at 50 Elizabeth Grove.

Tickets for this year's 10th anniversary Men's Dinner Nov. 24 and 25 are still available to all who wish to join this very special roast beef dinner, with all the trimmings, including mouth-watering dessert. Along with the dinner, the men's very professional chorus will be entertaining you before the meal, between courses and after with song and skits. Tickets are $25 per person. You are invited to King Bible Church for a HIV/Aids Workshop next Saturday (Nov. 18) from 9. a.m. until noon.

Nov. 19 is to be the Covenanting service for Rev. Bob Biggar, at 3 p.m. and the dedication of Hand Chimes, Sunday worship service at 10. a.m.

The members of Queensville United Church invite you to join them Nov. 25 for the evening presentation of Anne of Green Gables by the Queensville players at the Stephen Leacock Theatre in Keswick. Tickets are $16. To place an order, call Marg at (905) 895-5556.

Mark your calendars with these upcoming events at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church.

The Christmas in the Country sale will be Nov. 25 in the afternoon. Come out and enjoy the tearoom and get in the Christmas spirit. There will be exciting, creative gifts, seasonal decorations, delicious baking, and preserves. People will also be able to order their poinsettias.

Marion Ford, a Christian dramatist and soloist will portray "Jesus . . . Through a Mother's Eyes" Dec. 1 at 7:30 p.m. The performance will be followed by refreshments and a chance to meet the performer. Tickets are $8, with children 12 and under admitted free. All moneys raised will go toward the church's mission projects.
