King's Haunted House attracts crowds this week
 | | There were a lot of scary and silly things to see earlier this week at the annual Haunted House at King City Community Centre and Arena. The eighth annual event was a project of the Township and Sunbit Theatre Arts. The theme this year is Story Book Jail, with some 45 young volunteers dressing up as various characters from literature to either scare or amuse those touring the house. There was both scary and silly versions of the tour, depending on the tolerances of people taking it. Elaine Duke, 10, Richard Harknett, 12, and Charlotte Hewgill, 11, were chained to the walls of the jail. |
 | | Amy Mills was behind bars, impersonating the Wicked Witch of the West. |
 | | Alyson Douglas, 14, was portraying the White Witch of Narnia. |
 | | Members of the King City Lions were cooking up the food for the patrons of the haunted house. Seen here are Lions Dave Akerfeldt, Al O'Brien, Greg Eveson and Greg Furtney. |
 | | Youngsters visiting the Haunted House also checked out the games room at King City Seniors' Centre. Dana Paglia, 8, was going through the Evil Apple game. |
