Regional council remembers William Lazenby

York Regional council remembered the late William Lazenby at their Oct. 19 meeting.

Councillors observed a moment of silence to remember Mr. Lazenby, the former Mayor of Richmond Hill, who passed away earlier in the month. He was a well-known pharmacist for many years, a Richmond Hill councillor and member of many boards and associations.

"He did an amazing amount of things on behalf of the Town of Richmond Hill," commented Regional Chair Bill Fisch.
