Bolton man killed in King accident The York Regional Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating an accident Friday evening on King Road which claimed the life of a 59-year-old Bolton man. Police said Jim McConnell was driving a ford cube van at about 6:30 p.m. when he stopped on the north shoulder just west of Highway 400. He apparently got out of his vehicle and was struck by a white, fullsize GMC van. McConnell was pronounced dead at the scene, despite efforts of emergency responders. The driver of the GMC van, a 28 year old Etobicoke man, was not physically injured. The incident is still under investigation and officers are seeking witnesses.
