Plenty of activities taking place at local churches in the days to come

Concert at All Saints'

All Saints' Anglican Church, located at 12935 Keele St. in King City, invites you to a free concert this Sunday (Oct) 29 at 3 p.m.

It's an international concert with songs for a Sunday afternoon. The Babicine

Family Trio sing and render songs instrumentally from Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Italy, and the U.S.A.

King City United

King City United Church, a vibrant, caring Christian church, invites all to Sunday morning worship service led by the Rev. Robert (Bob) Biggar at 10 a.m., as well as Sunday school, followed with fellowship and refreshments.

King City United Church is one block south of King Road and one block east of Keele Street, at 50 Elizabeth Grove.

This Sunday (Oct. 29) is to be Mission Sunday. The guest speaker will be Frankie Burg-Feret, RN, from Canadian Food for Children - Legacy of Love Project.

The Apple Pie Day for this year was a terrific success, considering all the work of peeling 56 bushels of apples, washing, peeling and slicing, along with pastry making and packaging. Congratulations and thanks to all who helped.

Third quarter receipts are available for pickup from the table in the Narthex.

The Autumn Educational Opportunity for Adults is entitled How Jesus Changes the World. Based on Luke's Gospel, it will involve us in a consideration of passages in which Jesus challenges and (or) transforms the ways in which communities think and act.

Because of the variety of scheduling needs, we are going to try Sundays after worship - starting this Sunday, and for five sessions, pick up a coffee or juice in the auditorium and gather in the parlour at approximately 11:15 a.m. for a 45-minute discussion.

All are invited to the Lancaster's Annual Halloween Pumpkin Carving Party, at 189 Martin St, this Sunday. Pumpkin carving happens between 3:30 and 5 p.m., followed by a potluck supper. For additional information, please see the flyer posted on the bulletin board in the Narthex.

The church choir would so very much like to welcome new members. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings for about an hour, starting at 8 p.m. Do give it some thought. Have a word with Keith following the morning service.

As of today (Wednesday), tickets for the annual Men's Dinner (Nov. 24 and 25) are on sale to the general public. This is a very special dinner, starting with a lovely salad, mouth-watering roast beef and vegetables, followed with delicious dessert and

coffee and tea. Along with the dinner, the men's professional chorus are to entertain you with song and skits, throughout the evening and all for $25 per person. Purchase your tickets early, as they will go fast, as usual. Don't disappoint yourself. For tickets, call Al Henderson at (905) 833- 5047, John Kell at (905) 833-6432 or any member of the chorus.

St. Andrew's Church

You will find a warm welcome at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church on Keele Street North in King City. Join us for worship Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m., followed by coffee fellowship time. Our church family is growing!

Mom and Tots has started up again Tuesday mornings at the Anderson's.

The choir is looking for recruits for the Christmas Cantata and various committees and groups have met and are looking forward to upcoming events in the near future. Stay tuned!

Spaghetti

dinner

Sacred Heart Parish will be hosting a family spaghetti dinner this sunday (Oct. 29) at the Parish Centre at 14485 Jane St. at the 16th Sideroad. Serving will begin at 4:30 p.m.

the cost will be $12 for adults, $6 for seniors and children and $35 for families (parents and children only). Children under seven and seniors over 80 eat for free.

Country Day School

The Czech Boys' Choir Boni Pueri will be performing Monday (Oct. 30) at the Performing Arts Centre at The Country Day School. The concert will start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students.
