ARTIST'S CREATIONS ON DISPLAY FOR REST OF MONTH
A range of media make up the display of art work by Westhill resident Joan M. Luik, which opened Sunday at the King Township Museum. She said she used to work exclusively in watercolours, but has dabbled in acrylics over the last couple of years and recently started in water-based oils. She said she used to teach in the business division at Durham College, but always had an interest in art, and took classes, attended workshops with famous artists, did some experimenting, "and enjoyed every minute of it." Her show is on at the museum until Nov. 1.
