Open houses at fire halls

In honour of Fire Appreciation Week, King Fire and Emergency Services will be hosting Customer Appreciation Day open houses this Saturday (Oct. 14) at all three of its halls.

They will run from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the King City station at 2045 King Rd., the hall in Schomberg at 91 Proctor Rd. and Nobleton station at 5926 King Rd.

There will be a number of activities for families to take part in, including face-painting, along with demonstrations of equipment and auto extrication.

There will also be a presentation at 11 a.m. at King City to Ontario Fire Marshal (and King resident) Bernard Moyle, who will be retiring at the end of next month.
