Elizabeth Crowe acclaimed to Catholic board again
By Bill Rea

Catholic school supporters in King, as well as other places, must really like the job Trustee Elizabeth Crowe has been doing.

For the fourth consecutive time, she has been returned to her seat as trustee for King, Aurora and Whitchurch - Stouffville on the York Catholic District School Board without opposition.

Crowe said she was keeping an eye on things right up to the last minute.

"I still had my fingers crossed," she said. "I'm the only one on my board who's acclaimed."

"I am honoured that I don't have to go through an election campaign at this time," she added.

Crowe has been chair of

to Catholic board again the board for eight years. She said there might be some new faces around the board table after election day, but the direction should remain pretty much the

same as it is now. She pointed out the board recently did very well in the tests conducted by the Education Quality and Accountability Office

(EQAO). She also pointed out the province is planning to introduce character initiatives this month, something the board has been teaching for years.
