King Bible Church is running a 'Kidzone' program Tuesdays this fall Bible Church On Oct. 11, from 1 to 3 p.m., the KBC Overtimers will enjoy dessert, tea and coffee, followed by a presentation by Ginny Drake, a missionary from KBC serving with Operation Mobilization on the ship MV Doulos. Ginny is a talented musician and speaker and you will enjoy hearing of her experiences/adventures as she has traveled around the world. King City Seniors' Centre Submitted by Hans Nielsen Most programs are now up and running at the King City Senior's Centre. Some interest has been voiced about a tai chi class, and the centre has found an instructor. Now we need some more people to sign up. The cost is $25 for a 10week course per person. The York Region Plus 55 Winter Games (Senior Games ) will start this year Nov. 8 and go until Nov. 30. The various events will take place at several locations throughout the region. The Senior's Centre has registration forms available now. A sign-up day will be announced at a latter date. Vince Cancelli is the centre's committee rep. Please call him for more information. King City United Church King City United Church, a vibrant, caring, Christian church, invites all to come out at 10 a.m. to the Sunday morning worship service led by the Rev. Robert (Bob) Biggar and Sunday school, followed by fellowship and refreshments. King City United Church is located one block south of the King Road and one block east of Keele Street, 50 Elizabeth Grove. Oct. 1, is to be World Wide Communion Sunday. If there are any members of our congregation who need to receive communion at home, please bring such requests to Pastor Bob's attention. Second quarter receipts are available for pick up from the table in the Narthex. Remember the members are continuing to collect non-perishable food donations for the Township of King Food Bank. At this time, they would especially need cans of stew and fruit, cereals, packages of gravy or soup mixes, dried fruits, jello and pudding mixes, snack size cake and muffin mixes, tea, coffee, cocoa, juices, dry milk, etc. No beans please. A mailbox key was found in the church parking lot and turned in to the office. Please call if you are missing yours. A Gospel workshop and concert is planned from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1. It will feature workshop leader Peter Dent, (pianist, composer, choral arranger and choir conductor) and be hosted by New Hope United Church, at 9954 Keele St., Maple. This is for anyone who loves to make music, so bring your voice and/or instrument. The Toronto Conference 23rd annual Ethnic Rally will be Oct. 21, from 5 to 9 p.m., at the Immanuel Toronto Korean United Church, 43 Forest Grove Dr. York Pines United Church in Kettleby invites everyone to a Pizza Supper and Silent Movie Night, featuring William O'Meara, an internationally acclaimed organist, accompanying the movie.
