HASTINGS, ISABEL L.- Peacefully at Simcoe Manor, Beeton, on Saturday, September 16th, 2006. Isabel Botham, in her 95th year, beloved wife of the late Edison Hastings. Loving mother of Lawrence and his wife Marilynn, Eileen and her husband, the late Raymond McCabe, Herb and his wife Lynda, and the late Glenn. Lovingly remembered by her daughter-in-law Joan. Loved grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Albert Botham and sister-in-law of Gretta. GOLBY: ELISABETH THELMA (Betty)At Headwaters Health Care Centre, Shelburne Site, on Sunday, September 17th, 2006. Elisabeth Brown, in her 90th year, beloved wife of Eric Golby O.M.C. of Tottenham. Predeceased by her son George. PALMER, MARION R.(nee Wortman) Born July 12, 1914 in New Brunswick, Marion died on September 12, 2006 in Toronto with her loving family at her side. Cherished wife of John H. Palmer (March 1983). Dear mother of John M. Palmer (Vilda) and Janet Palmer Purves (Bud), and much loved grandma to John and Charlie Palmer. Graduate of Mount Allison University and former dietician with the Toronto General Hospital. Marion was a dedicated volunteer at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto where she enjoyed working for more than 30 years with friends, staff, suppliers and patients in the Gift Shop until retiring at age 80. She lived happily and independently in Toronto and Tottenham until the fall of 2005. Special thanks to Liz, her friend and caregiver, and the kind staff at Simcoe Manor and Lakeside LTC for their care over the past year. Very special gratitude to the doctors, nurses and all staff and volunteers associated with the Palliative Care unit at St. Michael's Hospital where Marion spent her last three weeks comfortably and peacefully. The family received friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 2-4:30 pm and 5:30-9 pm on Tuesday, September 19th. A private family service and interment will be held at a later date in Dundalk, Ontario.
