Police seek suspect in King break-in

The York Regional Police District 1 Criminal Investigation Bureau is seeking public assistance in identifying and apprehending a suspect captured on video surveillance committing an Aug. 26 break-in at a home in the King.

Police report the owner of a home on Lloydtown - Aurora Road received a call from his alarm company, saying there had been an activation at his dwelling at about 1:40 p.m. The victim contacted a neighbour who went to check the house and confirmed there was a break-in. The suspect had forced the door, entered the home and took items of value.

The homeowner had recently installed a video surveillance system and the suspect was filmed breaking in.

He is described as a white male, five feet seven to five nine, medium build,

140 to 160 pounds in his 20s. He was wearing a baseball hat, a tank top and shorts.
