King City sewers are commissioned

Residents of King City are now able to hook up to their brand new sewer system.

King Township reports the Regional components of the sanitary sewer system, the forcemain and pumping station, are now complete and residents in the first phase of construction may now connect their properties to the sanitary sewer.

This week, the Township's Finance Department has sent letters to all property owners in the above noted phase areas, informing them sewer connections are now available, as well as providing a timeline for payment and connection. Owners will have 60 days from the date of the letter to return a form indicating their preferred method of payment.

A brochure from the Township's Building Department entitled, Making the Connection, has also been included in the mailing to assist property owners in understanding the process of connecting homes and businesses to the sewers. Copies of this brochure are available on the Township Web site at www.king.ca and at the Township offices.

King City property owners with questions about their connection to the sewers may contact the Building Department at (905) 833-5321.
