Volunteers wanted for Main Street Christmas

It's beginning to look a bit like Christmas, at least as far as the people responsible for organizing this year's Main Street Christmas festivities in Schomberg are concerned.

The big day will be Dec. 2, but a lot of organizing has to take place ahead of time.

The Main Street Christmas committee of the Nobleton Schomberg

District Chamber of Commerce will be holding a meeting next Wednesday (Sept. 13) for anyone interested in volunteering for the event. Wonderful entertainment is booked, crafters are crafting and bakers are baking; storytellers are practicing their scary voices and Scrooge is wondering if he can still fit into his costume again.

Volunteers are needed to help the event run smoothly, both with preparations in the days beforehand, as well as on the big day.

The meeting will be at 27 Western Ave. in Schomberg, starting at 7:30 p.m. Refreshments will be provided. For more information, call Susanne Prince at (905) 939-4024.
