WISHES GRANTED, THANKS TO COSIMO

Nobleton resident Cosimo Figliomeni (second from right) headed a walk to Niagara-on-the-Lake in July to raise money for a Make-A-Wish Foundation. The result was about $15,000 being raised, with money still coming in; good for the granting of about three wishes. Steven Presser, special events and marketing coordinator for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Toronto and Central Ontario, was in Nobleton Tuesday morning to express the thanks of the organization. They are surrounded by Frances Picciolo, who helped organize the effort, along with Paul Marino and Rocco Loccisano, who accompanied Figliomeni on the walk. Gerry Gentile, who also made the trip, was absent for the photo. Organizers also expressed their thanks to Cappuccino Bakery for providing a location for meetings.
