Lots of sights, sounds and entertainment at the Battle of the Bands

Fatchface from Nobleton had the audience hopping during their set. Frankie Maccarone was singing with Dave Celebre on drums and Marco Pascucci on bass.
Upwards of 500 people, mostly from the younger set, were in Nobleton Park Saturday night for the Kingstock Battle of the Bands, hosted by the Youth Leadership Association of the King Township Chamber of Commerce. And there was a wide variety of music provided by the nine bands on the bill. Flapjack from Richmond Hill, consisting of Thomas Millbane on guitar, Hani Zakaria on vocals, Daniel Boltyansky on trumpet, Ryan Birnberg on drums and Dale Payne on bass came in second in the competition.
Infract made a lot of noise with their music, much to the delight of the crowd. The group, which practises in Nobleton, consists of Darryl Herbert, Joel Clausner, James Burnett, Caleb McLellan and Bob Merek.
Idle Time, consisting of Matt Goldman from Richmond Hill, Jon Rogers of King City, Chris Reel of Richmond Hill and Mitch Trachter of Thornhill performed several entertaining numbers.
The Vestaloynes were the last group to go on, and they ended up winning the competition, and 10 free hours of studio recording time. The band members seen here are Ben Reed (Old Man Vestaloyne) on keyboard, Sean Hingston (Bosco Pete) on guitar, Spencer Evoy (Big Jim Vestaloyne) on vocals, Alex Aleksic (Sir Royal Vestaloyne) on drums and Spacker Dave (Fatty Vestaloyne) on bass.
