Great crowd out for 10th annual Charity Golf Challenge
 | | King City resident and Easter Seals representative James Binsfield was on hand once again at the tournament. He was presenting little stuffed animals to several of the people who helped put the event together, including one to Sandy Sharpe, the mayor's executive assistant. |

 | | The rain might have interfered a bit, but that didn't block the enthusiasm of all those taking part in Mayor Margaret Black's 10th annual Charity Golf Challenge last Thursday. The golfing festivities opened with a putting contest, and the host of the event did a pretty fair job as she stepped up to try her skill. |

 | | King's Director of Operations Jody LaPlante made a bet with people at the banquet that they couldn't raise $500 for the various charities being supported at the tournament. He lost, and in fact, they ended up collecting $547.05 on the spot, meaning LaPlante had to don a woman's shirt, comparable to the one Mayor Margaret Black was sporting. |
