Highway closed for hours Saturday

There were no serious injuries, but a collision between two buses created traffic woes on Highway 400, just north of King Road Saturday.

"Nobody was seriously injured, but a lot of people shaken up," reported Constable Gord Evans of Aurora OPP.

He said the two buses were travelling north from Wonderland when one apparently rear-ended the other. That resulted in the northbound highway being closed for a couple of hours.

King Township Fire Chief Bryan Burbidge said crews from the stations in Schomberg and King City responded to the situation, along with two stations from Vaughan. He added one of the bus drivers was trapped in his vehicle, and fire crews had to extract him. His injuries were not serious either.
